The situation
Joakim joined Nord Fondkommission as CTO in 2020 and inherited a fragile set-up after a staff handover. When Covid hit, most of the company moved to home working.
What Joakim did
- Steadied the set-up.
- Recruited and led a local team of five working DevSecOps: three engineers, a UX designer and a data engineer.
- Prepared each new computer and sent it out by courier, with support running over Teams.
- Brought an externally built advisor onboarding platform in-house and switched over in one move, timed for least traffic, with DNS set to pass on the change quickly.
What came of it
Work carried on from home, and the platform switch was seamless for advisors and customers.
