What happens to what you send through this site.

Who is responsible

Mettle AB, Corp. ID 559249‑4842, Stockholm, is the controller. Contact: hello at mettle.se.

What is stored

When you send the form: your name, email, organisation, phone number if you give one, what you picked and what you wrote. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

How the site is used

To see what visitors look for and what to improve, the site records which pages are opened and what is picked, searched or clicked on them, whether a form is started and sent, how far the page about Joakim is read, and which site a visitor came from. It keeps no name and no IP address: your IP address and browser type are combined with a key that changes every day and is never stored, and only the resulting code is kept, so visits on different days cannot be linked. Words typed into the CV search or on the page about Joakim are kept, without email addresses or long numbers; an assignment pasted into the CV never leaves your browser; only the CV terms found in it are sent. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded. The records stay on the server of Mettle AB and are deleted after 13 months. A weekly summary, with the words searched on the CV but no other typed text, goes to the Jira of Mettle AB (Atlassian, below) and is deleted there after 13 months as well. The basis is the legitimate interest of Mettle AB in a site that answers what visitors ask (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

You may object to this at any time. Turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser and nothing is recorded from then on, or write to hello at mettle.se and I delete what is recorded about your visit if you tell me when it was.

Why, and on what basis

To answer you and to follow up on what you asked about. The basis is the steps you asked for before a possible agreement, and the legitimate interest of Mettle AB in answering enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Where it goes

Your message is stored on the server of Mettle AB at Scaleway in Paris. It is also recorded as a request in the Jira Service Management of Mettle AB (Atlassian), which creates a customer record with your name and email, emails you a confirmation and lets you follow the request. Jira notifies me by email, in my mailbox at Google Workspace. Atlassian and Google may process data outside the EU/EEA under standard contractual clauses.

If your enquiry concerns financial services, I may pass it on to Mindstreet, the team I am part of in that sector. I do that by hand, and only when it is relevant to what you asked.

To limit misuse, the network address you send from is hashed and held in memory only, to allow at most five messages an hour. It is never written to disk.

If you open the booking link, the needs you picked are passed to Calendly to fill in the booking, and Calendly handles it under its own privacy notice.

How long

Two years after the last contact, unless an agreement follows; then as long as the agreement and the accounting rules require.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object, or ask for a restriction. Where the law gives the right, you may also receive what you have sent in a machine-readable format, to pass on to someone else (data portability). Use the form on this page or write to hello at mettle.se. I reply within one month. If a request is complex, I may extend this by up to two months and will tell you why. If I cannot tell that a request comes from you, I may ask you to confirm it from the email address you used.

You may also complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), imy.se.
