The situation
In 2011 SensiNet brought out hardware with several sensors per device. The platform assumed one sensor per device, so the model had to change with it.
What Joakim did
- Changed the model so that one device, a sender, carries many sensors.
- Reworked the classes, the API, the interface, the stored procedures and the triggers to match.
- Shipped the split in January 2011, with follow-ups to March.
What came of it
The platform took the new hardware while reporting carried on.

It had to be brought up to date without stopping the alarms.
